ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Carlissa! A Licensed Professional Counselor, podcast host, lover of travel, and spicy Thai food.

With over five years of experience in the mental health field, I've learned that so much of the work we do in therapy comes back to understanding ourselves. Why we think the way we do, why certain relationships bring out different versions of us, and why changing patterns can feel so difficult even when we know something needs to change.

I especially enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, relationships, self-esteem, and the growing pains that come with figuring out who you are.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. I incorporate Parts Work, CBT, mindfulness, and nervous system education to help you better understand yourself and build the confidence to make meaningful changes.

Outside of the therapy room, I host This Doesn't Count As Therapy, a podcast where we have honest conversations about mental health, relationships, identity, and all the things we're figuring out along the way.

At the heart of my work is the belief that you can be a work in progress and still trust yourself. You don't have to have everything figured out to start getting to know yourself better.
